How is it helpful?
Qualcomm Voice Assist provides always-on keyword detection for enabled voice assistants on your device.
It is always-on, low power, and functions even when your device's screen is off.
How can we use it? Everywhere says "it's the voice command that lives up on your phone and blah" but seriously... How can we activate it and use it? I.e With Google we say "Ok Google" with Alexa we say "Alexa" , what about this one?
In one plus 9 , from the last update this application began to start. It has no sense and it's not possible to desinstall ?
How can I uninstall?
Even after giving all permissions it still keeps showing up.
Sometimes I notice a tiny green mic icon in the notifications tray. But it disappears on its own. Still not able to understand when does it or when should it show up. There's no setting to configure the keywords for this.
At least 6 - 8 times pr day I'm notified about this running application, that I have not asked for, do not use, can not turn off notifications from and can not uninstall.
If I understand correctly, it is what enables Alexa and Google Voice assistant to function on your phone.
When saying "ok Google" and "Alexa" it's the Qualcomm voice assistant that picks them up.
This seems to be false. I "force stop"ped the application and tried "ok google" and Google Assistant was able to pick it up. Then went back to make sure it was still stopped.
Check out our new app, Zonely from OneLab!
