I hear HTC has the best front firing speakers and if they can accommodate FP scanner in the front along with it, then that gives me a paradigm shift and shift in opinion.

    Thanks for showing me :).

Front placement is best. Thinking about cases and covers, it saves a lot of design hassles. Side placement is cool, but awkward. Back placement should be useful, but isn't visible from the front so you'll have to train your finger "memory" for fast unlocking, and cases will look dodgy.

Also, as much as you say you're not necessarily implementing these polls into the next phone, can you say whether this will heavily affect future design choices at Oneplus? Knowing I was part of the design process in even a small way would be a massive thumbs up for Oneplus :)

Take a look at Sony's Z5 Smartphone. I don't like it on the side anyway.

Side! Just try a Sony Z5 with FP in the power button. Just perfect!

not a fan of FP scanner but if OnePlus wants next phone to have one, then it should be on front. would be nice, if "hidden" under the screen glass with no markings of its existence and exact location or a very thin line on glass, outlining the sensor.

Most likely, if you put the fingerprint sensor on the front, you will not be able to get front-facing speakers.

Nowhere..I don't even use mine because its way to slow and doesnt recognize my Finger. Works from 10 tries 4 times. I have to scan my Fingerprint about 4-5 times until it detects it, so i just use my Pin code its way faster.
