This is brilliant. I love how the data was turned into a infographic. @Nicole Q. One result that isn't shown here is the result for the physical home button (iphone style) vs the touch button (oneplus two style). I'm interested in knowing what people prefer.

The price should be reasonable and the battery removable (I don't like throwing away phones after about 3 years)

A couple of interesting interpretations of the poll results in the infographic.
    • 39% of respondents wanted a 5.5" screen, but over 50% wanted a smaller screen (5.2" or less). Nonetheless our ideal smartphone has the bigger screen option.
    • Only a third want the best camera in the business. I just thought it would have been higher. (Which is fine with me...good is good enough for me).

Something important (and not asked) is to have a good software support: updates on time and for two years at least.

That explains that 66% using customs ROMs. If the manufacturer does not offer a good support the client has to search for it into the community.

Oneplus, the OPO is my first and last device from you.... All have been lies and smoke.

If OnePlus can pull this off, and create most of this ideal smartphone, at their usual price point, history is going to be written.

Interestingly, every other important features percentage is more than 50% mark except the SCREEN SIZE!!
    Which means..
IT'S time that OP considering launching 2 models with different screen sizes and every other features same. I love all these features. I won't need NFC too. Also, if mobile is waterproof, I don't need expandable either.

If this would be the phone, I would surely consider to buy it. Just that I would have liked 5.2' screen size more because I want to keep it comfortably in my pocket, especially jeans
