Try opening community forum in Mobile Web Browser, you will never need the community app again ;):)

I mostly use the Community app as it's easily accessible and all the content is just a tap away. The only thing I miss is having the ability to view RP in the Community app. I think that's fairly easy to add.

Remember back in days people use to ask
" got a new OnePlus phone, tell me what to do first "
And replies on those threads used to be like Uninstall the Community App.

    That's the app ;):p

I know it will work in the browser, however I do have a preference for the App. I find the browser harder to use on the phone when accessing the Community, Big thumbs 👍. So I tend to endeavour with the App unless absolutely necessary.

Oh, just for curiosity how much RAM and battery it takes as you use community app for longer periods.
For me it used to drain alot of battery if you open any threads which have images or gifs and most of the times it it won't even load properly.
Things I mentioned it used to be in past just wanted to know how it is today 😊

Well, couldn't sleep last night, so have been up early and pretty much most of the battery used today so far has been within the Community app. However while it does take up a bit of ram, I find it's not so bad on the battery.

This 6T has 6GB Ram, my battery is generally good but showing only 76% health in the OnePlus Diagnostic tool.
You can see from the stats below, the app is light enough on the battery.

I do open quite a few posts here, many with images, gifs etc, but I find the App just takes it in its stride. Almost always has. Never really had an issue with it, except for one or 2 updates a good while back. The current version causes no issues at all.

I use the community App 95% of.the time..
It's convenient to scroll through threads and to post, reply and quote reply in threads..

I only use the website for posting media and looking at photos in full resolution and creating threads..

Things that need to be fixed in community App:

-Editing a post, especially including quoted, breaks the post and adds a "said:"

    - Add ability to format text more convinently

    - add ability to embed linked media of all kind not just youtube, eg to already uploaded media..

    - would be nice to have an overview of all my uploaded media..

    - on uploading photos compress to max size not below

    - viewing attached photos is only thumbnail resolution. Should be the actual res. Upto max. Allowed

    - Auto complete tags

    - show ASCII Smilie's

    - DM
having just one or two lines to compose makes it barely useable
    Ability to GroupDM

    - Notifications
Right now it feels like a random selection of notifications or sometimes just from the last Thread where I participated

So that's just my 5 cent @Zach X. Written on the community app...😉
