random ad vids and fb stickers auto download

    i had the oneplus x and this never happened. ever since i got the 6 , i noticed it was downloading ads and stickers and it even creates numerous video folders when i record something on instastories. never had anything like this nor have i ever heard of it, any help? plz

    Add a file in that folder and label it ".nomedia" and it'll fix it.

    open one of the images in gallery and look at the details of it (from the 3 dots menu in top right) - it will list the path at the bottom.

    the ads and stickers seem to come from the same folder but there's more shit saved that's coming from wtv app folder, why cant i just stop this useless downloads? never seen anything like it

    ok, so these files were always there but in this instance they are in open storage? how do i change it so they are not in open storage?

    The solution was already given in this thread. Find the path that the cached images are being stored to and add and empty file called .nomedia to the folder to stop the gallery from indexing the images.
