Random Restart Problem on Oneplus 8t Oct 23, 2020 via OnePlus 8T

    After setting everything up, I noticed that when I am unlocking my phone that it's randomly restarting itself .
    There is enough charge on it left and just a few application running .

    Why is it randomly restarting itself ?!
    Does anybody now ?
    Is there a fix coming ?!

    I had this a couple of times after the last update. But since I did a factory reset it stopped for me...
    No idea what could've caused it. But seeing other people commenting on the new update I feel that it isn't completely stable.

    These restarts are getting more and more frequent for me - I'm noticing that it's most often happening when locking the phone using Facebook Messenger in overlay mode.

    I'm not sure if there is a bias there because it's an app that I use often, but this is where I'm seeing it the most

    I'm lead to believe Facebook Messenger may be the culprit...please let me know if others have it the same. I noticed that there end up being multiple instances running in the background, so this could be crashing the phone and forcing the restarts

    These Problems are Coming from OnePlus Launcher so they Want to Update their Launcher first

    Facing the same issues here. Although I don't have Facebook installed and I am using a custom launcher. The phone restarts randomly after I wake it up and use it for around 5 minutes or so.

    I brought my first one in and swapped it for a new one. New one is doing the same thing. I clear my background processes often so I don't think it's that. I can't tell if it's because of the Facebook messanger bubbles or a coincidence that they're on screen when reboot. I am not using the oneplus launcher also. I use smart launcher so I don't think that's the cause. I've noticed that my battery percentage reads more after reboot than it did before the random reboots.

    I'm not sure how to find log files. If anyone knows I would love to pull a log file and send it in.

    Same has been happening to me, albeit I have the T-Mobile version. I use messenger and I noticed I also don't consistently get notified of messages. I updated messenger to the beta and that helped a little, but it's still several times a day it reboots.

    Had this problem on the 6t so I switched and upgraded recently.. and now it's the same problem? OnePlus gotta do something about this.
