Hey, got brand new OPO from oneplus store today....As soon as I turned it, my screen started acting weird, like someone is touching randomly. It stopped for a few hours then again it started and now its impossible to use phone normally...its opening apps randomly if screen is on, if i open any text messaging app it starts to type random letters etc.

Software is cm 12.1 - YOG4PAS3B4, phone came with it and I didn't install any update or custom rom....I just unboxed it few hours ago. I have no idea what to do now, can software fix this or is it hardware problem?

You could try to update it to the latest version and then see what happens

There are no new updates if I try to "Check for updates", says its up to date....but I can't find my ROM version anywhere on the CM web site, I asked some people that bought OPO last week and they also got this version of ROM. Only thing left is to unlock bootloader and try to flash last cm 12.1 ROM because I know this isn't the last version. I contacted support yesterday, they told me to do factory reset and if problem is still there after that, they will have remote session with me. Today morning "ghost touching" started again.

Allow them to do the remote session, they will be able to fix it if it's a software issue and if not they will be able to set up a hardware repair

Contacted them yesterday, now I am in the process for remote session, they told me this can be patched with software. If ghosting is present on 3 different ROMs I really doubt it is software problem, also its happening in recovery menu, does that mean it's hardware issue?

It's not just the OS and rom they can replace. The Kernel can cause some issues
