Thanks for the details, the RAW output sounds pretty good if storage isnt a problem.

No mobile application can support RAW format. Mean, you can't even upload to social application like facebook, twitter, foursquare and etc.

You have to use PC application to export to other image format. It really take time to do everything.

JPEG with high quality is totally enough for me.

It's not a deal breaker, but I think that the OPO is capable of shooting in raw format if it shares the same components with the Find 7. Future software update perhaps?

RAW will come in an OTA soon. We have a number of "advanced" camera features on the agenda :)

That is good news - does the functionality include the option to output both a RAW and JPEG at the same time ?

I understand that every OTA update has to be certified. I don't know how much time is required to have a new firmware certified but I guess it would be faster to release some updates as apps in the Google Play Store like Motorola does with camera App for example(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.camera).
    What do you guys think?

I was under the impression that OP had RAW capabilities. This is a little saddening, but ultimately it might be a good thing in my case. RAW files are usually a lot larger than JPEGs and could fill up the phone's memory way too quickly. Also, if I'm shooting in RAW, I know I'd have unrealistic quality expectations. This is one perk I guess I can live without.

Thats a very clever way of doing things, however it might have some advatages to do it the old way, not sure though.

RAW is so not needed on a phone camera, its only needed for bordering on semi-pro photography, and if youre doing that on a phone then you should be prepared to make sacrifices, if you want a camera, buy a damn camera dont moan the smart phone with 100's of features doesnt do this incredibly specific thing.

The RAW format is not essential but it is definitely a great feature.
Not everyone have always digital camera at work, when do running etc etc.
So for me it is very nice to know that i can have this function ALWAYS with me.
