[Submitted] RCS (Chat) no longer works after OxygenOS 11 update Oct 13, 2020

    Open Google Messaging App, click 3 dot (hamburger) menu, select settings
    Click Chat Features
    See message about this device does not support chat at this time (It did in the previous version)

    Same problem. It was working fine 3 minutes ago before I did the update. Now it isn't recognizing that it can do RCS. Very frustrating as I am missing messages from my wife because her Pixel is sending all of her messages to my phone as RCS.

    I got a voicemail from OnePlus support asking if it had been fixed, But there have been no updates available to download so not sure what might have changed. I saw other users of other devices having similar issues but the methods suggested did not resolve the problem.

    Also the exact same problem (Fi, OnePlus 8 Pro). I've tried everything short of factory resetting the phone. It was working totally fine before Oxygen 11 update. I'm really frustrated.

    I'm having this same issue. I've tried all the cache clearing, carrier service uninstalling tricks I could find but nothing is working. What's worse is I'm missing texts from people. This is only happening with people that also have RCS. I have a feeling the system is still trying to use RCS even if it's not currently functioning on my device.

    Update: I even factory reset my phone. Had to re-set everything up, and it's still not working.

    Another User with the same issue said that there is an OTA update rolling out soon to fix the problem. There wasn't a specified date just soon.

    Same here. Ironically my wife is on a OnePlus 8 with Android 11 and WORKING RCS. Me on OnePlus 8 pro Android 11 no RCS. Wtf. We both are on Google fi

    Idential issue as bdubs4200. can't get chat fetures to work either. Have been on with tmobile and no help. they are sending a new sim card as a last hope to try and break the connection with the chat software that Google Messages uses for RCS.

    no notification... i left it without touching, and after maybe week untouched i checked and it was provisioned...

    OnePlus 8 Pro on Google Fi, RCS is also broken for me. I've tried every combination of updating, uninstalling updates, resetting, clearing cache, clearing data, trying Messages Beta, APN settings, everything.
