Because they keep the best phones for themself and to send out to reviewers and tech sites.

But shouldn't every phone have it? If there's like a grouping of leds at the bottom (or something to that extent)

    So far.

created a support ticket (RMA didn't seem to exist at that point). I noted the yellow screen and the fact that they had to take it back because whatever, i was still in 14 days. so hurry up.. I then logged in the next day and found there is an RMA option in my account, so I submitted.

OP response was, you can have us send a courier or you can post to us.
So then I said - i choose courier and I dont expect to pay for a faulty phone and missing or broken accessories i ordered with it. I also said - should I wait for my RMA.
OP replied with their address to post to I think? And my option of the courier as well still, It's is completely unclear and very chaotic.
I sent a mail because the ticket is closed and was i happy or not !! WTF. I'm not happy, I detailed my lack of any understanding and also !-

So It's looking like I pay for 2 x courier costs myself (45 Euro) and finally get done with this completely incompetent conpany. Or maybe a miracle happens tomorrow and they sort everything out - something they have not managed to do in the last week. The experience keeps getting worse and worse, I want to be shot of these people - I think it's clear :)

The phone it's also a bit clunky and disappointing. I was thinking to give to a friend, but I would not force such a thing on them !

If yellow band is indeed a "feature", what about all those review phones and non-yellow band ones?

Did they get defects, since theirs don't have the feature?

It seems like the latest batch has a lot less yellow band phones. I have a 07/05 build phone and it has no yellowing.

    You just got lucky.

And it has ugly yellow piss on the bottom of the screen. Very easily noticeable.

No, yellow band does not go away in time.

OP doesn't respond. Doesn't provide solution. Does not care.

They are busy moderating the forum, closing and locking the posts.

That's why we are getting mad.

By the way, did anyone notice the yellow band getting larger?

Mine was about half an inch yesterday.

This morning, it's more like full inch.

Mine comes and go too. I'm getting sick about it.

Why don't they help costumers solve this problem?

If we return the phone a buy a new One how can they ensure the new ones come without the yellow band?

I still can't see how some and some don't. They said they should all have it, as they group the LEDs at the bottom.

Perhaps some people are just more critical of it than others?

You can see the yellow band if it's there.
It's like piss stain at the bottom of pants.

You don't have to look for it.
No, I am not a super sensitive person.

I've definitely got the yellow staining on my OPO from 5th July batch. The severity changes depending on the brightness of the screen. It definitely appears worse when the screen is on lower brightness. I'll give the UV treatment a go and see what happens.

But the yellow band has been accepted by the opo team as a hardware design, I don't see how people don't have it? The grouping of LEDs must effect all devices not some.

And I don't see how uv light would change the placement of these either? Surely that would be for a glue issue?

I'm sure there's a better quote but I found this

"We are not ignoring the topic, as it has been explained, it's the way the phone is designed. There are 14 LED lights that are used for the backlight of the screen that might make the lower part of the screen look a bit yellowish if the brightness is low or if the phone is looked at certain angles. Most phones are designed this way and honestly, to me it seems more like a psychological thing."
