So, since there is a wave of new users coming to the forums, there have been issues to keep the forum clean. So here is a simple list of rules:

    1. Begging for invites is not permitted and threads created just asking for invites will be locked by the Moderators.

    2. Invites are not dependent on your forum levels! Even Cupcakes get invites and thus don't try to increase the post count by creating random threads just to level up.

    3. Use the Search button before creating new threads. Your query has probably been answered earlier in detail by someone else, using the search button to look for threads with similar key words is a must before opening a new thread.

    4. Duplicate threads will be closed/merged by the moderators as and when they pop up! We all love to browse the internet and some people browse more frequently than others, so make sure that the thread you are creating about hasn't already been made.

    5. If someone helps you or you like their answer, press like! It may not seem much to you, but it goes down a long way in making the person feel his effort

    6. Selling on forums is not allowed! You will receive a warning if you try to sell anything, be it the OnePlus One or your dining table!

    7. Links to third party resellers are not allowed! Forum members are our patrons and should not purchase or advise others to purchase from scalpers, purchasing officially from OnePlus.net will make sure that you have access to the warranty and customer support.

    8. Do not use foul language on the forums, you will receive a warning immediately!

    9. Try and minimise the creation of threads! The lesser the threads, the more pleasing it is to use the forums.

    10. Do not tag admins everywhere! If you tag admins on every single post, it is likely that they will miss it due to the sheer amount of notifications!

    11. Do not share your email addresses on the forum! As people may misuse it and you'll receive spam emails!

    12. Do not post invite codes on the forum! Send it via a personal message or ask the forum member to Personal Message you his email address. As bots may claim the invite even before the intended member could.

TIPS ON HOW TO GET AN INVITE:
    • Contribute on the forums by helping members out.
    • Do not spam threads. (most people don't share invites with thread spammers)
    • Be relevant.
    • Do not create unnecessary threads.
    • Quality comes over quantity of posts.
    • And last but not the least, by not begging for an invite!

Before creating a thread, make sure your thread answers these questions!
    • Will other members benefit from what you are posting? (Unless it's a question, duh!)
    • Is your title clear enough?
    • Does your title reflect the content of your post?
    • Are you in the correct category?
    • Are you in the correct language section?
    • Is this thread really required?
    • Is your post an original thread? (in other words: has it already been posted?)
    • Does your post respect the Terms and Rules of the forums?
    • If it comes from another website, are you authorized to post it here?
If the answer to any of these questions is no, you probably shouldn't post it.

A new member can post in existing threads and then when an X amount of posts are posted then he gains access to creating new threads.

Posts along with certain number of likes would ensure that the posts were just not to jack up numbers but also there was something sensible usefull contributed.
Example - 10 posts and 3 likes. What the exact ratio would be is best decided by folks been around for a while.

Also something that we can probably avoid is segregation! the fact that people create threads for chennai group, telangana group, telugu group, tamil group!! where does this end???? the next telugu/tamil.... person you meet is as much stranger as a person from any other region!
