    Crystal Z. , May 29, 2020 :
    Hey everyone,

Last week, we had an amazing time talking with 21 shutterbugs in the camera online Open Ears Forum. Like last month's OxygenOS edition, this one was a great success. We'd like to thank everyone who shared their genuine feedback regarding our existing product, while also voicing their constructive thoughts about future camera features. Through online communication, we are aware of your camera expectations and we'll try our best to give you the best experience.

    A huge shout-out to @Nupur_Tandon @Areyouanand @HarshavardhanRau @Hooolm @Sionic @devil112 @wissou @Black Forest Ham @otto2 @Ironspartan11 @JustASoftwareEngineer @DavidZisky @kushagra77 @Deepakjr. @Goldeneyes78 @kaize5041 @André Quelhas @S1588319972256 @O1581903967939 @nmatheis @jglassenberg. We hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did.

Let's check out what happened in the online OEF
We first contacted the 21 participants to gather their OnePlus 8 Series favorite photos, as well as photos where they felt the camera could've performed better. We then divided the users into two sessions, one on Friday and the other on Saturday.

During the meeting, @ARAVINDKJ led everyone to discuss the OnePlus 8 Series camera's pros and cons, with @Jimmy Z. and @OverDrive H. recording the feedback and answering some questions about the camera.

Shortly after, we listened to users' stories behind their cool pictures, and also looked into some comparison photos to check where our camera falls short. Following up, @ARAVINDKJ introduced some upcoming new features and picked users' brains on their thoughts about these features. These are still under NDA so we can't tell you much about it, but we'll surely collect more feedback from the community when we're closer to releasing them. For the session on Saturday, we also invited Oliver Zhang – head of product department, and Kinder Liu – head of R&D, for a free Q&A panel. They can't wait for more opportunities to talk with you.

Most importantly, we've listed follow-up actions for the OnePlus 8 Series based on the feedback we collected during the event:
    • Continue improving white balance consistency across all lenses
    • Reduce the haloing seen on some HDR portrait shots
    • Improve UX for AE lock
    • Add more color filters and bring them to portrait mode
    • Show visual cue when tripod mode is triggered
    • Keep optimizing post-processing strategy
Thank you again for all the valuable feedback, we're sure that we will build a better and better product together with you. Check out the video for a quick recap:

Let us know if you have any comments about above commitments, and feel free to tag @OverDrive H. @ARAVINDKJ for camera related feedback.

Introduction of adjustable fps for video ??? Allmost all movies are created at 24 fps.
Normally 30/60 fps is default for our devices and doesn't have that cinematic experience.
Hope adjustable FPS in Video can be taken into Beta test.

    @OverDrive H. @ARAVINDKJ Any thought ??
