Received Update For 9 Pro OOS C.44 but LHDC Codec of Oneplus Buds Pro is not activating Jan 23, 2022 via OnePlus 9 Pro

    I've recently received Oos 12 C.44 update via OTA for my Oneplus 9 pro and i also own Oneplus Buds Pro. As i have seen many articles that Oneplus 9 pro received LHDC Codec support from OOS 12 but whenever I connect my Oneplus Bids pro with my Oneplus 9 pro...it shows AAC codec activated rather than LHDC.

    I tried resetting device and buds also but nothing helps. LHDC support shows in developer tools but it's not activating from there too.

    Hey guys, I already have two pairs of OnePlus Buds Pro (white and black), and planning to buy OnePlus 9pro next month and upgrade my current 7pro. Is there any noticable difference in quality of music when you switch from AAC to LHDC? Thanks for reply!

    Theoretically many would not tell the differance in a blindtest. But then we also have effects like it sounding different from device to device. Depending how clean/unmodified the sound is when broadcasted via Bluetooth.
    A other factor some have claimed is that Buds Pro sound worse in Oxygen OS 12 compared to 11 on 9 series. I would claim it's slightly improved. But I prefer cleaner well-balanced sound over a really heavy overpowered bass.
