    tried rebooting my phone, and then again launching the camera app, it works, but after couple of minutes later, the same problem gets started,
    also tried to deactivate face unlock, it works for some time, and after couple of minutes later, The same problem arisea

    Looks like some app occupies the camera. Check in settings>apps which app you have allowed to use the camera and turn them all off.
    See if that will solve it. If yes, you can turn those permissions on again one by one and test untill you find the app that is causing it.

    Mine too (5T). tried everything without success.
    Other camera apps works normally... So it's not hardware issue.

    One plus 7 pro user, just experienced this error and missed recording my baby's first words! This is really poor! Tried removing all camera permissions from apps but it makes no difference.
    One plus, do you have a solution to this other than factory reset!?

    try reboot to safe mode...
    1. long press power key for 3sec.
    2. press and hold power off for 3sec.
    3. go in safe mode
    4. after safe mode restart the phone..
    5. problem is solved
