Recovering contacts from phone backup

I decided to switch from CyanogenMod to LineageOS. I synced google contacts and also took a backup of my Oneplus One using rsync to my Ubuntu laptop (all folders, files). I then used TWRP to really clean everything on my OnePlus (wiped everything). I installed LineageOS without issues. But when I synced contacts, I realised that many contacts are missing. Is there a way I can recover them from the rsync backup I took?

No contacts on my SIM. No com.android.providers.contacts in the backup. So I guess the contacts are gone.

You can login to your Google ID you used, because it will be stored in Google contacts.. Get it from there by exporting in the required format.. If you did not do backup, use some software to regain lost data from Android OnePlus phone.

The contacts that are missing weren't synced with the Google account. And why are you talking about a Galaxy phone?
    Robot? I think so

If you can't find contacts from Google account, the only way to recover them is using data recover software......
