Is anyone using 5G on their OnePlus 8T? Just curious to know the speeds you are getting as it is not yet available in India and does not show up as well in the settings as shown in attached screenshot..

Like 4G, 3G and even 2G before that speeds can vary. I have had speeds from 650 down to as low as 12.
All that matters to me as a user is that the data connection is fast enough and good enough for what i am doing at the time and i dont care if its 3G/4G or 5G as long as it gets the job done.
If 5g means that i get usable data in more places then all is well

Yes. Within my apartment, goes from 100-220Mbps. Outdoors range from 220Mbps - 550Mbps+. I hope you can get those 5G speeds soon. They are a nice addition but not really necessary because LTE is fast enough for me already. Biggest advantage of a 5G phone is having better connection and speeds in places that generally have poor connection in the first place. Otherwise, not hugely different for my use case.

But why does the 5G option not show up in SIM settings as shown in my screenshot above.. I checked Samsung Galaxy S21 and it shows as 5G/4G/3G under SIM network settings.

I completely agree. For me having a consistent, reliable signal & speed is much more important than whether its 4g or 5g as I've always found 4g speeds to be more than good enough for mobile usage

Great question, I'm honestly not sure. I would contact your phone carrier to see what the issue is and if they could potentially give you any clarity. Is it a phone they natively support?

You can also contact OnePlus support: http://www.oneplus.com/support

Hope you can get it resolved, update us please. Good luck.
