Can't you even do a basic search before creating a redundant thread!?

Long press on the screen in the camera app and Google lens will show up!

How many times do we have to answer this question!?

"simple gesture to long press on screen after pointing camera on an object which eventually pops or brings google lens"

is not available, i thinks its my bad that i have bought this phone from mars where this simple functionality is not present, second mistake i have done to post it here,

Oh no. You don't have to be a good sarcastic person. On the other hand, you are expected to search and read. This is not customer support. Only the users are helping you out. So, repeatedly asking the same thing will only irritate the fellow users.
There are multiple threads discussing this. You are supposed to search and discuss in existing threads.

Anyways, when you long press, does a colorful circle start rotating ?

Stop with your passive aggressive stance.

Screen record whatever you are trying to do, upload it to your drive and share the link.

And what's your camera version number?

It should work by long pressning, have you installed a camera app apk that isn't made for your device?

bro ignore these idiots, they think this community is some sort of place where they can show their authority of their titles [e]1f602[/e] ..better actual moderator should start checking upon these fellows who instead of actually helping just want to show arrogance

and here's the video which might help on how lens will open: "https://streamable.com/eddqz"
try with different language or QR code.

There is an extra step to enable Google lens in the new camera app. I was like him and no one said he had to go in camera settings to enable the feature.

    So,

    1) open the camera app
    2) swip up
    3) go to settings
    4) turn on "Smart Content Detection"
    5) return to photo mode, and long press on an object to see the colourful circle

its working now, its just a simple step that we need to do,

but there are people who are here just to show how they enjoy messing up with people without providing actual help.

You can keep telling that as long as people keep creating duplicate posts, as long as people avoid reading the rules of the forum.

Oh man, you are not even a moderator, why are you taking it up on your ego bro???!!!

Basically you are talking about point. 3 of forum rules as mentioned in ink below but about point 2 " Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. and The following actions are prohibited from the OnePlus Forums: Showing a lack of respect and tolerance towards any forums members."

    https://forums.oneplus.com/help/terms

There are moderators in this community for a reason, if they think this thread is useless, they would close it, but a member had a query, other member helped him, i guess that's what this community is all about.
