Repair service experience

    Just thought I'd share my experience of the the official repair service here in case anyone is in two minds about using it. I had smashed the back cover of my 7 Pro so it was not under warranty. I thought about doing the repair myself but decided to use the repair service.

    The phone was collected by UPS the day after I put in the request and I received the repaired phone back within two days. So in total my phone was gone for three days. Total cost for the repair was £48. I was able to track the status of my repair on the service centre's website and see photos of my phone. The whole operation was very slick and speedy.

    The phone is now good as new and I'm happy with cost of the repair. The service centre was CDTI in Poland and I can thoroughly recommend them!

    I have recently sent in my phone for repair - because the back shattered from a small drop.

    I am now also being quoted for a screen repair even though this is completely undamaged so I'm not impressed with the service at all. Plus when I called customer service they couldnt access any details about the repair and had to ask me to give all of it to them - they then email the repair service.

    It is a completely different (and ongoing) experience for me, as you can read details here.

    TL;DR
    • Sent my OP7 for screen repair on July 20.
    • Do not have any visibility on when I'll have my phone back.
    • Still waiting for answer from Repair Service

    I'm open to any advice or help…
