Replacing Your Old Sandstone Black StyleSwap Cover

If I were you, I wouldn't go the StyleSwap route... there is a reason they have been discontinued. It has created battery problems and fit & finish problems (ex, creaky backplate).

If you want to change the look of your phone, you are better off with a case even though it adds bulk.

A replacement cover would be nice, but not at $29+. Also taking off the back cover is very difficult and could damage the phone. I guess I will just keep what I have even if it starts looking raggy.

Short supply= High demand . Don't worry, OPO will make more money with the the OP2. Just keep buying till you empty your wallet.

I think having the option of replacing a back cover is good. I use a case now but I love the feel of the naked phone. A lot of people don't want to use cases, the thought being that the phone is big enough without a case adding bulk. Not many phones allow this useful facility.

Option to replace cover is good. Just needs to be cheaper, easier to get and easier to fit.

    Hi,

This is more of a suggestion: Since the Styleswap covers are cancelled (except for the few Bamboo ones that have been produced) - is OnePlus considering any alternatives?

My first suggestion would be to create a selection of Styleswap Cases. For example:

    - Styleswap Bamboo Case
    - Styleswap Kevlar Case
    - Styleswap Denim
    ect.

My next suggestion would be something similar to these MacBook Skin: https://www.etsy.com/listing/161837101/real-rosewood-macbook-wood-skin?ref=shop_home_active_16

Something like that fitted for the OnePlus One. Custom orders are available from the company, so if you really wanted one you could receive a wood backing for the One. Basically, these skins would replace the Styleswap covers and just stick onto the back of your phone.

Again, these are just idea's. I do think OnePlus should look for alternatives, especially since the cool interchangeable backs were a main part of the phone.

Let me know what you think.

    Thanks,

    Rawbex

I have been using Nexus line of devices for years and LG had some serious quality issues but Google kept it right by replacing defective phones but here its misearable ....
    Here is response I got
