My OnePlus Nord today (21st December 2020) performed factory reset on its own, all data wiped. Lost so much of data. Completely unexpected thing to expect from any such a renowned brand like OnePlus, but that's 2020 in it's final month. Great!!

Android Version while the issue occurred: Oxygen 10.5.9.AC01DA.

    Thank You!!

Same here, its the second time. After the battery got empty while having a call, after putting the charging cable in, the screen starts off be "welcome"... thank god i had my data in the cloud. Is there any solution on the way or what we can expect?

    As unfortunate as that is...
There's nothing anyone can do then if you haven't backed up your data to the cloud.

Hi, I bought my son a Nord last year and had no probs until a week ago when I factory reset it manually to use a child Google Acc. Since then it's been factory resetting itself a few times per day. Over ten times now. Has this issue regressed? Could it be related to the child account? I'm hoping the Oxygen OS 11 release coming soon fixes the issue. We're currently on 10.5.10.

My OnePlus Nord performed a factory reset by itself overnight. It had around 20% juice when I went to bed, the next day I woke up to a phone with a white screen which says "Hello" & "Select Language". I cannot describe that moment, it was like, I was hit by a truck and I'm literally lost.

    1. First thing, I didn't bother to take a back-up because even in my worst dreams I wasn't expecting something like this to happen.
Being an iPhone user for 8 years then switching to new OP phone which btw is still 2 months old, you would certainly not expect something like this

    2. Now, I run a business, all my clients' contacts are flushed out, the important dates on calendar is erased, notes disappeared and my gallery totally wiped out

    3. After a traumatic experience like this, how would I be able to trust this device again? I mean what is the surety that this won't repeat again? It's like carrying a time bomb with you, you never know when it's gonna explode.

Now my device cannot be replaced and the OnePlus service executives just have one goal, that is to make me take a No for an answer, which btw they succeeded.

I'm gonna perform a rollback to Android 10 and leave the rest up to fate and hoping this never repeats again.
