[Report] Random Factory Reset & Data Wipe

    Hi Team,
    i really fed up with this and your product. i lost all my data from my Nord mobile due to automatic factory reset problem. suggesting to take backup restore, cloud save or some other blah blah blah are not needed and I don't want to hear such nonsense things . Kindly release a fix to avoid this.
    ask your development team to work and give some priority on this.

    Everyone who all are encountering the issue of Oneplus Nord getting factory reset or getting rebooted automatically,they are requested to switch to pattern lock until a software fix arrives from Oneplus.

    So far I have been facing the issue of automatic mute. The volume slider goes to the bottom on its own. I keep looking at the phone and everytime I raise the volume slider, it again goes to the lowest.

    After I changed my screen lock from Password to pattern or PIN, I never encounter the issue which causes the device to enter the recovery mode. If the device runs into recovery mode accidentally in the pocket, it is very possible to cause the factory reset problem due to miss-touch. If you keep facing this issue, you can try and see whether this helps.

    Hello!!! I recently bought a Nord. Awesome for the 2 days I use it. The day I received it the random reset issue emerged. Is its cause identified? One user reported that forgot your password option triggers a bug that sends you to recovery. Also l, changing from password to pattern or pin helped him. Can anyone confirm that this is what causes it? I'm using pattern for years now. Should I have this issue in the back of my head or not??

    It happened to me with fingerprint and pin enabled. I gave the correct pin but still it got forced into factory reset even when I tried restarting the phone. There was no way to opt out even with correct pin. Only happened once (knock on wood) but some apps still act up even when everything is cleaned up.
    Before forced reset everything worked perfectly fine.

    yeah ....I don't know...since Monday that I've been using it, no issues at all....I bought it second hand from a reviewer, it's a late August buy. First thing I did was update to 10.5.7 .... fingers crossed now it doesn't happen or they release the patch before it happens..

    Though I didn't notice this issue till now have been using this device since 23 days but major issue which I noticed is regarding network problem still didn't get a fix for this and beware once submitting the logs they keep asking for the same again and again I have completely lost hope and now decided to either replace or sell this device very poor experience with this brand

    Don't be afraid ... You can always do a complete backup with OnePlus Switch App and copy your files to a personal computer, just in case ...

    I haven't faced this perticular issue.. but is there any possibility of occurrence of the issue ( automatic factory reset). I have the latest os version and been using for a month now.

    Today 27 September 2020 suddenly my OnePlus Nord got factory reset automatically and my whole data is erased what is happening guys this it got heated and factory reset tool place

    I've had my Nord for 7 days now.. And twice it has popped up with a screen with the oneplus logo and a keyboard... And bottom right corner "forgot password"??? What f****** password? Ones is was during the night just laying there.. And once was when i took it out of my pocket.!! And ONLY option is to press "forgot password" and wipe everything! Can't even turn the piece of shit off! So lost everything TWICE on a one week old phone! JESUS CHRIST! 499 dollars for a useless piece of junk! @OnePlus ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! This is the worst phone i've EVER had since the first mobile phone since the 90's! First time with a oneplus... And probably the last!

    Your data was saveable at those times, now unfortunately not. They offered instructions for that...read the link on the reply above yours
