AUTOMATICALLY BACKING UP FOLDERS ON ANDROID TO PC

    01. On Android device, (+) Add backup
    02. Choose the folder
    03. Either choose a linked device from the list or choose share
    04. Copy QR code
    05. Send it to the laptop using email, chat, etc
    06. On laptop, open Sync and (+)
    07. Enter a key or link
    08. Paste the link and press Next
    09. Choose the folder on laptop where the files must be backed up
    10. OK.
    11. Go to Preferences (for each folder):
    · Check (select) "Use predefined hosts"
    · Add the IP address of your Android device –
(ideally your router must be configured to assign a static IP address to your device, instead of a dynamic one. This is done on the router configuration page (LAN interface setup - DHCP server settings). This will keep the LAN connections intact as your device will always be assigned the same IP address.)
    · Add the 'port' number that your Android device is listening to (as seen under settings)

    AUTOMATICALLY SYNC FOLDER BETWEEN DEVICES

    01. On laptop, create/ choose a folder to sync with all devices
    02. Share
    03. Choose Read only/ Read & Write permission
    04. Scan the QR code using each mobile device
    05. Approve any notification prompt on the laptop (inside the app)
    06. Go to Preferences (for each folder):
    · Check (select) "Use predefined hosts"
    · Add the IP address of your Android & iOS devices
(ideally your router must be configured to assign a static IP address to your device, instead of a dynamic one. This is done on the router configuration page (LAN interface setup - DHCP server settings). This will keep the LAN connections intact as your device will always be assigned the same IP address).
    · Add the 'port' number that your Android & iOS devices are listening to (as seen under settings)

SELECTIVE SYNC (NOT AVAILABLE ON DESKTOP FOR THE FREE VERSION)

    01. On any mobile device, create a folder
    02. By default, Selective Sync is enabled. This will allow you to decide on a file-by-file basis, whether you want to download it to your other device(s). Disabling this would download all files in the folder to all your devices automatically.
    03. Press Share and select "Show QR code"
    04. Scan the code using other devices
    05. Approve any notification prompt on the device (inside the app) where the folder was created

That's it. Now all chosen folders on Android device will be automatically backed up to your PC and syncing/ transferring files between devices will be a breeze. This method won't use any internet or 3rd party servers, and there is no headache with Hotspot creation.
