[RESOLVED/CLOSED]UPS lost my phone during the RMA and Oneplus is taking too long to replace it

    Apparently this is not the first case on this forums

    I have sent my phone away for a repair (DRM issue) and it got lost by UPS

    In detail

    27th of February- RMA process is opened and prepaid label sent
    28th of February- Phone is collected by UPS
    3rd of March- UPS claim investigation triggered by Oneplus
    13th of March- UPS confirms phone is lost and issues claim to Oneplus
    21st of March- Oneplus ask if I want a replacement (Agreed) and then requested an invoice for validation
    29th of March- Opened up a complaint ticket for the length it has taken to replacement my phone
    2nd of April- Still validating, no progress just repetitive response.

    Considering to take legal action

    ok, Update, oneplus has decided to fast track the process and sent out the replacement so I can consider this case is resolved

    Well did you know that the courier UPS has to confirm that they lost your phone and make the payment of the phone to oneplus before the can replace the phone, oneplus is not going to pay for the errors of UPS the legal procedure will not change that procedure.

    UPS lost it! Be happy that OP helps, but in theory your request is towards UPS.

    OP will provide exchange when they received the money from UPS.

    Well it is both of them however I was told that higher department is still processing this claim with UPS (The claim status has not changed since 13th of march, not even in review document phase)

    Thank you guys for the support, I did not just made this thread out of being pissed, I have taken time and will still do so since right now this is not my number one priority as I got things to do in my life that is far important but it has caused me unnecessary stress. I hope this will bring attention of more capable staff who can assist me better as UPS assumes Oneplus is the shipper

    In Uk there is no law that stops you from going to a small claims court, as long you have a strong case, it is likely to be in your favor but it is the last thing I want to do since Oneplus makes brilliant phone for an killer price, along with a wide community of developers so it never goes obsolete

    This is no point, oneplus fault but the system that both ups and oneplus had that has caused such a long time to get to this point with still no progress
