I am having issues. When I let the battery die, when I switch back on, the home button, recents button, notification bar do not work, and developer options are gone. I have to keep restoring an old backup. Any ideas anyone?

Why do you let your battery die? That's not good

I have flashed this ROM recently..and am facing slow charging. Most of the time it charges @350~400mAh. I read in the OP that it has fast charge which can go upto 1900mAh..so please suggest some solution if any other than custom kernel as that can cause random reboots.

Hi, I'm using the latest nougat build for my OPO (bacon), v5.8.3 official. I installed it, a clean flash, after HyperUnicorns 7.1.2 failed to meet my expectations. There's a problem though, I installed magisk su, along with it's manager, and didn't use the usual SuperSU. Was excited to see what it does, as it boasts so much.

I installed magisk on HU 7.1.2, forgot to uninstall first, and so when I clean flashed RR, it implemented itself in it too, without any way to stop it. Since it didn't have me much problem on HU, I didn't try to uninstall it at first, but when it did, I flashed SuperSU on it. Although it worked first, but after wiping dalvik cache, it didn't detect root at all. So I tried to uninstall it, but it was in vain, and now SuperSU shows root undetected, tried to uninstall magisk, SuperSU (with it's UnSU script) but nothing works. So I'm stuck with a phone, no way to root it anyhow, magisk uninstalled after some trial and error method, but now it too doesn't install on my phone. So I'm unable to use either magisk su or SuperSU.

So here I'm, hoping to find some solution for it. Also is there a way to install SuperSU in system mode, after all there's a guy who posted a system mode SuperSU file. Please help a fellow noob. Although I'm neither a noob, nor do much of an expert. But I have some kind of understanding. So please tell me if I did something wrong here.

And yeah, does not charge at all a lot. It charged for only 5% in 25 mins, and 30% in 3 hours. So need a solution for that too. If it can't charge, then it's a total bummer, will really need to have something else. Also, is there only me or someone else too feels that the previous Android was the best, marshmallow, and all the custom ROM worked greatly, but this nougat has given a hard time to the developers, and still it isn't yet as perfect as that. I'm really thinking of flashing the 5.7.4 version of RR, of things keep going like this. First with the SuperSU, and now this charging problem.

reboot in recovery then wipe /system and flash the rom + gapps once more (you don't loose data).

    download magisk uninstaller at:
    http://tiny.cc/latestuninstaller

reboot in recovery and flash the .zip

boot the system then reboot in recovery and flash supersu

On connecting charger, it always shows 0mAh but charges nevertheless

Changed chargers and cables too , though this wasn't happening with other ROMs

Anyone facing the same? Any ideas?

The OS is very fast and everything works perfectly for me expect this charging issue and battery drain

    Using RR-N-v5.8.3-20170718-bacon-Official

    Hello guys,
I`m using an OPO with last RR nightly 5.8.5 20 October 2017: from battery status panel I found several apps like whatsapp, calendar, email, magisk manager with high "keep active" values, I`m talking about hours and hours. from wakelock detector app the best statistic value is around 1 day and 6 - 12 hours (battery life) with 3 - 7 % of awake status. I revoke several permissions for the most of the apps into privacy guard (keep active, launch at startup, etc...)
how can I fix this situation to get an extra battery life? thanks

try to install the latest ROM + the latest gapps (micro):
    use at least twrp 3.0.2
    nandroid backup
    wipe system, cache, art-cache
    flash ROM + GAPPS
    wipe cache, art-cache
    reboot

Trying MrSHME_bacon_firmware_update_2016_01_24, have a little battery consume but for now it's working good.
Was only asking the opinion from other users, because afterall it's a phone and the mobile signal is a must for me, such as wifi :)

Is Oreo Coming or better that I switch to a different ROM with Oreo (I don't want to).

I just hope someone is still working on RR for OnePlus One.
