Yes, Camera, mic, 3D are future proof features...
8k is too much. 4k with IPS 10 bit panel and HDR 10 & Dolby sound - are sufficient, which most TVs, lack in budget price.
Mi tv 4x pro is a VA panel, poor sound - worthless.
But eagerly waiting for oneplus tv - on what it holds.... ?!
    Camera,
    mic,
    3D,
    4k,
    IPS - 10 bit panel,
    HDR 10

    & Dolby
= are the combinational features a current tv in market lags in.
"in 55, 49, 43 inches & Price below 50,000 rupees -are the best for Indian markets."

LG’s roll-up OLED TV looks really cool.
I wonder when will OnePlus TV be available?

i would prefer the tv that i actually want. first of all 8k, most people are just start8ng to own led TV's after xiaomi's affordable tv. also less price comes with less quality. even in phones where mi ippo vivo are giving 4gb ram 64gb internal memory doesn't most people don't know what processor is used and whether it makes any difference in phones. also the display is low quality where these phones emit more blue light under normal conditions which I've witnessed in second quality displays. i want a tv which is affordable but with good quality. good quality doesn't come cheap but it should be reasonable. if I want to sell a product i would see what is practical. 4k 8k all can spotted while looking closely so it doesn't matter. foldable tv maybe useful in the future but right now I don't want that waiting for the screen to roll up and down. its these little stuffs that must be noted

Is that necessary to overprice TV with 8K technology? There is no content for 8К, and it will not be for a few years for sure.

Appart from amazing good looking technology on the OnePlus TV, I hope you guys include some Android base TV with Kodi already pre installed, that would be a great plus

When I bought my last TV a year ago I searched about a week in shops and on the internet comparing many different models not knowing which one to buy.

The distance from eye to screen is about 5,5 meters at home.
I was very pleased with the colour depth of OLED, I didn't see as much difference in 4K <-> 1080p (especially from a distance) I also liked Android TV more then Tizen or WebOS

Eventual I went with the cheapest 65" LG which just happend to be 4K. (€ 560,-)

    Why?
    - 65" OLED was to expensive
    - All SoCs in modern TVs are too slow to run Android TV stable.
    - Not going to spent over € 1500,- for a TV that is going to be outdated and without updates within 2 years.

Until today I have no regrets.

OnePlus TV makes sense if it will:
    1) be an Android TV linked to Android ecosystem of OP phones
    2) have the fastest SoC, so Andoid TV would run without glitches, unlike Sony and Philips.

The key attribute of OnePlus brand was always "incredible fast" and affordable.

8k, OLED, AI, foldableness are expensive features for premium brands and premium prices.

A TV that works like a Google assistant smart display would be a dream. Put some far field mics on there.
