Guys, if I wait for the next stable release for OP6 and then if I directly install that full zip via local upgrade over my current Open Beta 6, will that get me back to the stable channel without data loss(Files/Media in internal storage)??

Did you remove the '.jar' from the filename?

You can do this in your file manager

In the past, installing a version of OOS with a newer build date did not result in data loss, so in theory it should be ok.

Having said that, when you do install the newer stable version, it's still good practice to back up your data just in case.

Try this, if you are having difficulty.

ROLL-BACK FROM CURRENT ANDROID 10 Beta or Stable TO EARLIER STOCK ANDROID 9 OR 10

Thanks to @ironass for putting this together.

All Downgrades to earlier builds involve wiping the phone. So you will need to backup your phone data.

If you can, it's always better to wait for newer Stable build, as it should upgrade to newer build version without Data loss.

And its always good practice to backup phone data before upgrading.

completely understand closing the beta, however, not happy with having to roll back my device. why not simply make the next stable version higher than the beta to allow us all to move over seamlessly?

You Will Lose your Data !!![e]26a0[/e]️[e]26a0[/e]️[e]26a0[/e]️
    You will lose all !!

    Beta = beta ( without lose )
Stable = Stable (without lose )
Beta + stable ( You will lose all)

    Make a backup ! 1587810452221.jpg

Because it's not available yet. You can wait for it to release, you don't have to rollback RIGHT NOW.

It will be Stable higher and you can stay on Beta 6 until it is released.

As usual it will be an incremental update first for this already on Stable 10.3.2, then the full file update will come out about a week or so later, you can install with that Full update.

it might be worth mentioning this as an option in the original thread, so much more can go wrong restoring a devices apps unless absolutely necessary I don't see a reason to do it. yes, there is always a risk when moving between build, but those risks are accepted as as of becoming a beta tester.

ideally, OnePlus would have notified this is the last openbeta build when releasing it so that we could make an informed decision as to whether to go on it or not. I for one moved over from stable to beta on this build. at the very least announce the closure of the program with a incremented stable version to upgrade to

why would I be mad, why the sudden escalation, it's only a phone? just added some constructive feedback. I don't want to wipe data unless absolutely necessary. appreciate the previous comments to assist could wait for the next stable, not ideal, but will have to do

hey I've backed up...and restored my data after the rollback using OnePlus switch. I see that the images, documents and videos are back, and a few system settings are back to normal. But, there are no apps installed. Why is this? Does it take some time?
