READ the release thread, BTW any downgrade neccesitates a factory reset, so why not try a factory reset on P first?

After reset of the device it needs 4-5 charge cycles to optimise during that time a degree of heating and battery drain is completely normal. If your phone is genuinely overheating, you'll get a warning and it'll shut down, then approach CS as it's probably a hardware issue.

when I am using Android Oreo it seems good, there is no problem, no overheating all app running decently.
recently I update oxygen OS 9.0.3 facing this issues. I restart my phone more than 5-7 times in a day.
it's really embarrassing for me. when am talking to the phone and end up calls phone light is not turn on. in that case I restart my phone again. in a day I several time restart my phone.

this method will wipe your internal storage, so make sure you perform a backup.
    1) download oreo beta from official site and move it into your internal storage.
2)reboot into recovery mode and choose “Install from Local”. install the oreo beta rom and perform a full data wipe by clicking "erase everything" after installation.
once done you can reboot your device

Does a factory reset take.me back to oreo? Is that what you are saying?
Haven't tried it yet obv bcs I was thinking it will go back to as it was when it came and who wants that. Not me atleast want it back just before pie.

Who are you asking? Use 'Reply'.

No, a Factory Reset does NOT take you back to Oreo. It erases all data, settings and third-party applications but does not change your Android version.

follow the procedure I sent. going back to a previous version will encrypt your device and will not boot properly, after flashing a previous rom it is necessary to perform a full factory reset

Sorry for that, had a rough day not okay to take it out in the forums. (Not phone related but things like this eemssto happen when everything else goes to shit) x)

This is what I have downloaded, not installed yet tho no time atm.

I will go into your link and read it through, but I may ask while I'm here. Why would it be a problem to go directly for 5.0.8?

you ask too much questions like a girl. just follow the procedure I told you about.
follow the procedure in installing the latest beta Oreo rom.
after you've successful boot the phone, follow the same procedure in installing the stable oreo 5.0.8 rom. don't forget to wipe your internal storage after each successful installations. you have to backup your files before proceeding..
that link i posted will give you a clue of what to do
