OxygenOS Rollback to previous OTA without root? Aug 15, 2018

    My wife recently updated her 3 from 5.0.3 to 5.0.4 and now the camera will not focus both in auto mode and manual mode. So I was wondering if there was a way to revert to 5.0.3 without rooting the phone? She has a lot of stuff in her phone that would be impossible/impractical to backup that she can't live without, and I already made that mistake once a long time ago and it was not pretty...

    If the answer is no, does anyone know of any solutions that work to fix the camera focus? I have searched the threads a bunch and have not seen anything that works yet.

    Most probably is a hardware issue, this has been discussed a lot of times. Contact support for replacement of the camera module

    Not yet. My wife is very skiddish about the possibility of losing her data, so convincing her to let me do the downgrade is taking a little bit longer than hoped

    I have tried the same with my op5 after facing issue with 5.1.4, but it mandates me to wipe data. msg : "It is a downgrade operation. Need to erase user data. Yes or No" - I hit No, it came out.. earlier it wasn't like that. even though my device is op5, but the method were same for op3 n 5.. let me wait for the user "shoynn" reply regd the same msg he gets or not..
