I'am pretty sure this "unknown vendor" name is intentional by Cyanogen. A friendly little stab after their big fight. :D Or at least i'd like to believe this is in the background, because i think it's clever and fun. :)

Does this mean there is going to be an official CyanogenMod release for the phone? I'd rather use a snapshot as I do on my OPO than nightlies..

Changelog is in OP. Dash charge won't work for now. Look in OP for more info.

Well, if it is kernel code, they have to release it, as it is affected by the GPL. Failure to do so is a violation of the GPL.

In fact, they have to release the exact source code they used to build the kernel they are shipping. Motorola seems to do this (better), at least their git tree looks believable.

Unfortunately for you, this also applies to you, @Grarak: If you made the CM build from the private tree, you have to release the private tree to any asking for it.

I hope the issue can be resolved quickly, as I don't want anyone to have issues:(

TWRP is the best atm. You can't unlock bootloader without passing through fastboot. Be carefull, cause it wipes EVERYTHING.

Doesn't take long to install, longer is the downloading of the Gapps package ;)
For the battery life, can't say since I just installed it.

Strange, mine does. Did you wipe everything except internal? Did you try wiping cache?

@Grarak You said that OP didn't release the sources in the kernel for Dash Charge. Does that mean that besides custom ROMs not supporting Dash Charge, also custom kernels for OOS won't support it?

Sorry if this has been asked before Grarak but is there (and sorry if it's already included) a way to make the Alert Slider work the other way rather than push it up to work but push it down?
