    2. INSTALLING ADB AND FASTBOOT.

    What’s ADB?
ADB stands for Android Debug Bridge. It works when the device is powered on and booted into OS or Recovery. The tool helps in sending basic linux commands, and a variety Android specific commands from PC to connected Android devices.

    What’s Fastboot?
Fastboot works only in bootloader/fastboot mode. It allows you to re-flash system partitions on your Android device and requires a device with an unlocked bootloader. It’s particularly useful when you want to update your device manually or in a rare situation when you accidentally soft-brick your device and need to install a clean stock system image.

OnePlus2 does not void warranty for rooting, also there are other guides for rooting, making people run exe files with admin rights just spells trouble all over.

A toolkit is not the safest way. If the toolkit messes up, good luck finding out what went wrong and how to fix it.

Edit: well so far it's just adb/fastboot installer. No toolkit.

I have nothing against toolkits, just the fact were running a .exe file without knowing at all what it can "possibly" do is bothering. Also wasnt talking about the adb installer, was talking about the other exes.
I only provided a bat script, very different thing, you can basically check what it does by opening it in notepad

    2. install SU via fastboot or adb method, little rusty as last time i did root was an year ago.

I'm on A2005 and my device doesn't show under adb either. Will see if the info here helps. Does all this work on A2005?
