    I have 2 questions

    1. Why do I feel like I'm not getting best out my battery. There probably are more threads about this but, can you guys lmk what processor setting and or any setting that I can use to maximize performance only when the phone needs it.

    2. I rooted my phone using the c4tech tutorial on YouTube, I believe it's TWRP unlocked bootloader and custom recovery, bacon I belive. I did the 33 Ota update and lost root, all I have to do is release the superuser zip right?

    1. Not really sure about this myself.

    2. Yes; just flash the .zip via recovery.

I hear everyone saying they get 19-24 hours on a charge, I try to take off sync, take off WiFi, bluetooth, took off gestures and double tap to wake and sleep. I can honestly say I get about 9-10.5 hours of using it like that.

That's not enough information. Are you playing games? What's your screen on time? Any music or video streaming, web browsing? You should get more than 10 hours on a full charge but not if your doing heavy intensive things like that.

Also, I just leave everything alone as far as processor settings and kernel tweaks. Don't mess with those unless you really know what you're doing. The best way to save some battery is to go into location settings and disable location reporting and location history.

I understand processor settings and clock settings, I know enough to play with what I do know, I just wanted to know if there was a particular setup when it comes to the processor state ( adaptive, conservative etc) combined with either balanced and or performance profile and as you mentioned location settings, to achieve at least a full 20 hour battery time.

Go into TWRP and then reboot to system it will then ask if you want to reroot and click accept. And for battery install franco kernel

I choose processor "On-Demand" and i/o scheduler to "Deadline" they are pretty efficient and the battery for me lasts about 2 days with 13 hour on screen while listening to music. I highly recommend getting franco kernel as it saves battery and also speeds up charging.

Okay so I reflash the superuser zip, then clear cache partition, then apply Franco kernel? Can you give me instructions? I do understand the concept and the majority of the process but I just want to ensure my self that I won't screw up my phone, technology has changed since I used to root phones. Thanks

Sorry for late reply, and yes just get franco kernel r14 zip file for, this is important, CM11s not ASOP. I believe you know what to do.

okay besides the kernel for now, after the new OTA, just reflash the Superuser zip, and then wiped the cache/dalvik ? All from the bootloader correct ?

i believe i had the r30 ota; i followed steps here and was rooted fine, when the r33 became available, i read to just disable update cm recovery in developer options and install ota regularly. worked fine, thats when i posted this trying to confirm that i had to re flash the superuserzip to regain root. @vmk2310
