Just out of curiosity, why do some of you root in terms of aesthetics and user experience.

Also how has it affected your battery life?

    Finally recommend me a ROM?

They use native code to check for root and won't work if detected. So x posed can't help

My OPO on lollipop refuses to realise it's rooted.I clean installed cm12s and then the first thing I did was install supersu, currently no app recognises root apart from root checker and supersu which crashed when I try to update the root binary.

ROOT IS LOVE, ROOT IS LIFE.
Root shouldn't affect battery life. I recommend Exodus, but my personal opinion is to try many roms and see which one suits you.

It basically unlocks many features of the phone. You can use it to change everything on the phone from the rom (basically OS) to the sound settings...

I've rooted several phones before to remove bloatware. Yesterday I took the next step and loaded exodus onto my OnePlus One. I got tired of waiting for the OTA for lollipop. Now it works better than ever and my battery life is awesome!

I am having this exact same problem. In the dev options, where "root access" used to be now says "cyanogen recovery" and I no longer have TWRP.

I never even had that option, just this problem :/

Also does anyone know how to make a VPN app work on cm12s? It refuses to key me press OK to trust a VPN request from the app
