    I just got my new Oneplus 9RT 5G. I searched a lot but unable to find a method to root it via TWRP.

    Can anyone please share a link to TWRP recovery so that I can flash it and root it via Magisk?

    The OnePlus 9RT is relatively a new device, just released. Thats why no rooting links available for the time being!

    I tried to unlock the bootloader by going to the fastboot mode but keep getting 'failed' message.

    I have enabled USB debugging and 'allow OEM unlock' in the developer options.

    Okay. So I should wait now or any other methods exist? I have been using Oneplus 5T since 2018. Rooting methods for Oneplus5 and 5t were the same. The TWRP recoveries were also similar.

    Thanks! I was able to unlock using this command. Okay and what about a compatible TWRP recovery file that I can flash?

    I came across these links while googling for answer before creating this thread.

    The first two pages mention using an 'img file' to flash via magisk. As of yesterday, onelplus 9rt firmware wasn't available on its official website or any reliable page. Therefore I cannot extract the img file.

    The third page mentions using TWRP method but has not given any link to download the TWRP file.

    I posted my query on XDA forums and was able to root my phone successfully with the help of a member named ' penguinus'

    The thread and the detailed steps are located here. Latest Canary version of Magisk is required for rooting this phone.
