[Rumor] - OnePlus Pad, the first tablet according to OnePlus in the pipes... Dec 10, 2021

According to leaker Mukul Sharma, OnePlus' first tablet is expected to officially launch soon, in the first half of 2022, but apparently only the Indian market would be concerned.

With tablet sales picking up in the markets and visibly OnePlus would be interested in taking some share from Apple and Samsung (who dominate the current market). With a sales increase of over 53% in the 2021 quarter, the momentum would be right for this launch.
Especially with Xiaomi making a success of its Pad 5 at a rather aggressive price point, it makes for a nice battle ahead that OnePlus hopes to be a part of.

The rumour started to emerge this summer with an explicit EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) registered brand and model name "OnePlus Pad".

The rumour gained momentum when leaker Mukul Sharma and 91Mobiles estimated that the release of this tablet would take place in the first half of 2022, but without specifying further.

Let's wait and see what the future holds with this tablet so desired by many in the community, hoping for a release in all markets and not just for the Indian market....
I feel some frustration simmering at this mention of a presumed single market.

But nothing is done and let's wait and see what OnePlus has in store for us.
