I chose OnePlus because it would last longer without slowing down. s8 has better camera though if you care about that

According to me go for oneplus 6. It's far superior when it comes to processing power. As a gamer for me pubg lags in s8. Oneplus 6 is the best device in the market right.

it depends what is important to you in a phone, my preferences will be wildly different to yours.

Instead of an open ended rubbish question state the top 10 things you need in a phone in order

in my opinion I'm enjoying more the OP6 overall compared to the S9+ I used as daily driver for 3 months but of course there are a lot of things that are better con the samsung like the screen, camera and speakers. What are the most important things to you?

S8 uses the snapdragon 835 chip set for processor. But OP6 uses the newer and more efficient snapdragon 845 processor. I think the display and the camera in s8 are better than that of OP6.

I even got the s9+ for the same price as OP6. but I still bought the OP6 because of the number of satisfied customers OnePlus has in comparison to Samsung. Have been using OP6 for 2.5 weeks now. I can tell you that its really smooth, fast and has a pretty good battery.

But if you are looking for a better display (even though OP6 also has AMOLED) and a better camera, then go for S8.

    Hope it helps!

Ya agreed that the camera is a small step better than S8. But considering the processor power and the battery life (which is better than S8), I would still suggest that you buy OP6 because even the difference in the photo quality is so small that it is worth considering other aspects of the phones as such!

I have both. I much prefer the 6 for my daily uses.

    I'll break it down though.

    s8+:
-better camera? cameras are getting so good it's becoming subjective
    -better screen definitely
    -better battery life
    -wireless charging
    -ip certified water resistance
    -comes with headphones

    -more bloat and useless features
-lags and slows down quicker (sometimes I tap the search bar and have to wait 1 sec for the keyboard to show up)
-fingerprint sensor is crap, horrible placement.
    -friggin bixby Samsung why
    -meh speakers

    OP6:
    -latest hardware
    -super fast and snappy
    -clean os
    -dash charging
    -better for unlocking/root/custom rom support
-significantly faster face unlock, but also probably less secure but if you really wanted secure you'd probably stick to basic pin/passcode anyway.
-alert slider, very useful for some
-comes with minimal case and screen protector
-faster updates, more recent phone so will probably last longer in terms of software support.

    -gsm carriers only
    -doesn't come with headphones
    -meh speakers
-if you're an audiophile, the jack output is meh, whatever amp they using is relatively weak. Shouldn't be a problem for low impedance plebs like me though.

so objectively, the s8+ is better but I prioritize speed and software experience and that clean os and super fast hardware of OP6 creates a superior software experience.
