Lol, if you said 120hz I may actually pay some attention to what you said.
Better to have a screen that can actually maintain 60FPS than a screen that occasionally has 90hz.

Well said bro , there are some strange people on this forum who are clueless and driven purely by envy.
Post the picture for enlightenment purposes.;)

Got 2 laugh at people saying the Note 10 plus isn't the best phone out right now & agreed on the only thing that will challenge it is the Mate 30 pro..:)

The Note 10 + is a killer looks, specs, camera and speed, whilst some are relying on hype, influencers and gimmicks.
Didnt that Linus say the OP7 pro had the fastest screen?
The ECS video clearly showed the Razers was miles faster and in a different league to the 7 Pro's, that was LAGGING.

I didn't see the Note 10+ showing any lag.

Agreed. It's hilarious that people claim 90hz is fake because it's unsupported by some apps - forgetting that the same applies to 120hz screens and even 60hz screens if a game doesn't support our for example.

It will be rather amusing if in the future Samsung and other OEMs adopt 90hz as the standard going forward. I wonder what the opinion will be then?

It sure is ridiculous that Linus said the OP7 pro had the fastest screen, when it couldnt hold 60 FPS and the Razer was over 114 FPS.
Is that sponsorship driven or does he just not know what he is talking about when it comes to non OP devices?
It's a good thing others actually produces content, Instead of hype.

I noticed another YouTube speed tester mentioned jitter on the 7Pro screen, most likely because it was there for all to see and not a placebo effect.

Just wait for all the people who think it's a gimmick to come onboard and claim it is amazing, game changing and so on. All the so called "issues" with the 90hz implementation OnePlus has gone with will be forgotten.

I do expect next year the Note and Galaxy lineup will include 90hz panels or higher.

Just love how everyone puts so much trust in:
    Bloggers
    Youtubers
    News sites

Rather than users who own devices and speak to their experiences directly.

The difference between 60hz and 90hz can not be seen by the human eye, that equals a gimmick by any stretch of the imagination.:tearsofjoy:

People were reporting back in TJ's survey that they could tell the difference on Chrome when it was actually running at 60hz and not 90hz :tearsofjoy:

    That's user experience for you.

    Placebo:tearsofjoy:

Note 10/10+ is just too expensive for a phone.
Oneplus 7 and 7 pro are also already too expensive for a phone.
Flagships these days are way too expensive, regardless of how good they are.

I am still sticking with my old 1+3 (no-T) and am hoping to see something like Honor 20 Pro (€499 at the moment) to drop down a bit in price, let say another €99 lower.

No jitter, no issues. Screen refresh has nothing to do with game fps, other than the game can't display more fps than the screen refresh rate.

    @ilovesoneplus
I ran the same browser test that the 7 pro registered
    38-60 fps @ ??? Hz
The Mate 20 pro was rock solid on 63-64 fps @60hz

Who said FPS has anything to do with refresh rate?
I said the OP could not maintain 60 FPS in a test and FPS makes the display smooth not Refresh rate.
You can have a 120hz screen but if its dropping frames it's going to look choppy. As it did in ECS's video and as mentioned in a speed test by the reviewer.

I love that people claim it is a placebo - that the human eye can't detect the change in refresh rates of the screen, and then on the other hand claim that the 120hz screen offered on some gaming phones is superior... if it can't be detected - then how is it superior? Is it not a gimmick too?

I don't know about you - but I see a clear difference in changes of refresh rate to 90hz or higher. It is easy to see and feel. I've never had any jitter or any other issues to speak of.

What do you think? Can you see the difference?
