So recently I purchased Samsung galaxy Watch and installed all the necessary plugins... I am facing a battery drain issue with the plugin to as high as 18% through the plug-in... anyone facing the same issue?

I've uninstalled/reinstalled app, factory reset watch... galaxy watch plugin still draining my battery 2x faster than normal; using 11-17% battery even when restricted in background.

It's frustrating af and I've found ZERO solutions after comprehensive searching.

I've the same issue with my battery drain persisting even when I change the power management setting to 'Optimize'. Remind me again why I hate Samsung.

Ok I have found the solution... just downgrade the version of gear Plugin... the update released on 19th November is having issues... Download the previous version which was launched in September... worked like a charm for me 😬
let me know if it works for you too

How do you downgrade the version? I litteraly have no clue how to do that.

Go to apkmirror.com and download September version. Do note your watch will have to be reset so take a backup first and then uninstall currently installed version.

I have the same problem but my galaxy wearable app doesn't respond to my already installed watch active 2 plugin from an earlier version. don't know what to do now

OK I had the same problem on my 6T and I believe I've found a solution.
You'll need to deactivate the battery optimization on all the Galaxy Wear apps & plugins as it force closes them and makes them reboot all the time, creating the battery draining.

I've tried that for a couple of days now and it seems to have eradicated the phenomenon.
Let me now if it worked for you too!

I have the same problem on my op6 with Android 10, both devices (watch and phone) are correctly updated but I noticed a battery drain from that plugin. I'll try what lolomjj suggests. I'll let you know in a few days.

After 3 days I can say that the battery drain stopped, however I have another problem. Yesterday the plugin app auto update and now the phone does not more connect with the watch. I think I have to downgrade with the apk or wait for another update. This make me so frustrated.

Lolomjj is right to his words..i tried too and it worked..now Samsung gear eats only 2-3 % of total battery in 1 cycle

Hi buic, I really don't know what to do, today my watch active 2 doesn't connect anymore with my smartphone. I tried all the possible solutions by me but I think I'll have to contact the Samsung support, it's unacceptable that a brand new smartwatch doesn't work with a OnePlus. I'll let you know if they tell me something good. Byee

Hi guys, anther day another problem. Today Samsung decided randomly to drain my op6 battery with the "Samsung accessory service" and "Samsung health". I am seriously thinking to make a return of the watch. Too many problems with the applications. I would know If even Samsung (galaxy, note ecc.) have the same problems. In attached a screenshot of yesterday. Screenshot_20200120-133911.jpg Screenshot_20200119-211850.jpg

Hi, I also have the same problem here. I have a OnePlus 7 Pro and a Samsung Watch Active 2. Before buying my watch, my phone's battery lasted 2 days. Since then I have to charge my phone every night. When I look in the battery settings, it is com.samsung.android.gearrplugin that consumes the most.

While reading this post, I just turned off battery optimization for all samsung plugins. Let’s see ... I’m trying to keep you informed.

I already did it, I solved by rebooting watch and phone. Thank you anyway 👍👍
