I just noticed my back cover is chipped on the side. I haven't dropped the phone and I've only had it for a week. I'm fairly sure it's a manufacturing defect. Is it possible for me to get a replacement? I realise they aren't selling them at the moment but considering this wasn't my fault, will I be able to get a replacement?

It will be almost impossible to prove that you never dropped your phone

i am sorry for sounding bad, but you sound like the guy who posted a thread stating his screen broke while he was cleaning. nothing just chips or breaks or cracks regardless, i wrote to OnePlus asking them if i can buy a replacement, they replied with a request to take a pic of the back. To my surprise even though i told them how it happened they are sending me a replacement for free.

I know it sounds crazy like but I literally took it out of my pocket and there was a chip in the side. I have no idea how it happened and it definitely doesn't sound like a normal thing to happen so I get where you're coming from. The only thing I can think of is that I might have bumped into something and hit the phone or tight jeans may have put pressure on it... I'll get onto them and see what they say. I doesn't really affect phone use so if they don't replace it I'll just buy a case so it doesn't get worse. Thanks for the reply!

NP I am happy you aren't upset at my response. But just submit a ticket. So far my customer service experience ja been good qit OP. The only issue I would say is it took 3 days to respond. Bu . I know how busy they are so I digress.

The covers on "the Bay" don't have buttons and don't have NFC. See pictures attached showing the original cover and one from "the bay".

I bought a silk white and a sansdstone black to mess around with, but sourcing buttons is more difficult than I anticipated. The original cover comes off the phone very easily with your fingernail.

Watch a couple of videos and you can see how it is done.

I have not tried popping the buttons out of my original sandstone black cover as I'm not sure how they are secured.

I'm waiting to see if I get an invite for a bamboo cover as I would just use that and then would give button removal a try.
