    Hey @Gary C. ,
Congratulations to you and the team for the update and also enabling cloud storage for Zen mode. Keep up the good work.

However, I have seen a lot of user express concern about Zen Mode both on the forums and twitter.
OnePlus has always stressed on how they create and deliver features that the community asks for, what is happening now is slightly different. People do NOT want Zen mode on their phones. They want to get rid of it. I do understand that the team has invested time and effort into making this feature to help people take a break from their phone, but if it is still about making with the community it's time to respond!

I have seen users take to twitter, expressing dissatisfaction. Zen Mode is now considered bloat!
The idea is, if I have something on my phone that I don't need it is bloat. People don't need Zen mode.

All I want to say is to make Zen mode uninstall-able. Users can still choose to download it from the play store if they want to. That in my opinion is real good news!

I hope that you will address this in a future post of yours.

So you guys think the staff working on Zen should be assigned to OOS updates and security patches...?
Do we know how big the Zen team is...?
Would it even make a difference to get the update earlier...?

There's probably teams assigned to different Tasks that have to get done individually...

    I don't use Zen Mode...
Since I'm totally relaxed towards the fact that an update will be delivered sooner or later...

But for those who use it, it's sure a nice feature...? ;)

So thank you @Gary C. for the announcement... :)

There's even more asking for camera improvements... !!
Why doesn't everyone work on that then...?

This is a thread about Zen mode.. ;)

I think it's a great idea , the security patches just had one ,but could Android 10 please hurry for the one plus 5g and sharper pictures on camera love the device. please don't punch hole the screen it's great put an hidden camera there, with line of sight . sorry gone off the track but one plus has so much potential and I believe they can be No1 . and still cost less. oh a bigger battery would help has I use my one plus for business and pleasure as I rarely use a computer . That's it guys there's a lot more but another time , Well done one plus .

maybe now you get what I mean...

Camera updates might be part of the same package, but not everyone at OnePlus is working on everthing the same time...

    Imagine a wholesale store...
Can the employees from the grocery help out in the men's wear department, sell mobile phones or drill bits for different materials...?

Of course it's important to listen to your customers...
But what sense does it make to push an update just to satisfy customers demand even if it's not ready yet...?

    The outcry is forseeable..

There's no such thing as 'developer team for Zen Mode'. There's 1 group of developers which works on all these kind of things. iirc they have 15-20 developers, but that's enough for so many devices/builds/apps. I'm just saying they should prioritize stuff better, such as stability over functionality.

If they really only have 20 developers they should hire some more...
And some specialists on certain projects..

    You're kidding...?

Thanks for the update @Gary C. It sounds great. I use Zen mode at some times and I find it useful.

I think it is not incompatible to have this utility with other issues that, in my opinion, are independent. Like everything in this life you may like it or not, but there is also the possibility of using it or not.

In my opinion, everything that is to improve OnePlus's own applications is a very good thing.

    Thank you ;)

    Never Settle.
