screen area not working

    GCP , Sep 25, 2021 :
Hello! I recently bought a Oneplus 8T and it's working great so far. The only issue i have (which i haven't found a solution yet) is, that from time to time an area on my screen isn't working. While that happens i can't use specific characters on the keyboard (in the middle).
It has to be a software issue, because if i lock the screen and unlock it everything is fine again.
But that's only a temporary solution imo. Does anyone know how to fix that permanently?

    Thanks for your help!

You also can deinstall the updates of GBoard or try another keyboard app

Will try it out. Also i don't think, that it's Gboard only. Fingerprint-Reader wasn't working for a moment too. The area that isn't working is right where the fingerprint reader is i guess

If so, you also can give a factory reset a try to rule out a software glitch/issue

are you using any screen protector, if yes, remove it and try.

If you aren't using any screen protector other than the one which came pre-installed, then suggest download Device Checker *SAM* application free from play store and run checks to ensure it isn't a panel or hardware issue.

If any of the tests fail then visit the nearest service center.

I read some threads a while back where the area around the finger print sensor was not sensitive as it should be. Perhaps the way the screen was fixed. If you have a service centre close by, take it there, let them have a look.
