    Thank you for posting a solution! I have bought a USB C to HDMI adapter and nothing is happening and I can't view the screen on a TV or monitor. Please help!!

    You may have another problem all together unfortunately.... I was able to unlock my damaged phone because I had a second working 7T that I was able to use to help me figure out where the digits were on the unlock screen.... If you don't have a second oneplus phone then you'll essentially be doing this blindly. FYI all I could see on my monitor was a lock icon until I managed to get the phone unlocked. If the problem you're having is that your screen is non responsive then the only solution is to have the screen replaced w/o sending it in to oneplus (they factory reset all repairs) if you want to recover the data.

    You'll need to do it blindly unless you have another oneplus phone. My wife and I both have oneplus 7T's so I was actually able to get the phone to unlock using my wife's biometric face scan that she has set up before the screen stopped functioning. If that isn't an option that you'll have to figure out where the digits are located on the lock screen and blindly enter the pin before anything will show on screen/monitor.

    And if the screen is damaged to where you can't register inputs then this solution will not work for you unless you have the face biometric scan enabled and the front facing camera still works. Otherwise you will need to replace the screen but if that's the case then you'll want to get the screen repaired somewhere other than oneplus since they factory reset all phones that are sent in for repairs.

    I have the same problem obviously. Have managed to connect usb c to hdmi to a screen but that screen doesnt a camera (and I dont think I had face unlock unabled initially). How do you unlock with pin code with a broken screen and no keyboard? You cant connect a usb keyboard to a screen....

    the one plus 6 (Mine) seem to USB-C using USB 2 version, so the HMDI should not be a solution since no HMDI will work... ami wrong f yes, please share the cable used.
