If you have caused burn in by setting the brightness on the phone too high then generally it will not be covered by the warranty, as you have caused the issue yourself.

By playing games on a device that is not designed to play games at full brightness for long periods of time, most manufacturers will not cover that under a warranty.

However contact OnePlus support directly to see if they have more information on your issue. Scroll down the page for contact and online chat details.

I didn't say you can't use it at max brightness, I said max brightness for long periods of time playing games.

This is a phone that is built for casual gaming, it's not a games console that happens to have phone capabilities.

You need to understand the difference. And take personal responsibility for the limitations of all phones that happen to play "Casual Games".

Also would you keep a car revved to maximum RPM for long periods of time. Same difference you will wreck the engine.

And I also have the notification bar screen burn in
So I'm not supposed to use my phone in high brightness at all ?
So basically we're getting scammed on the screens?

No scam, but would you run your car at max revs all the time. No, because you know you would wreck the engine.

Your phone, is a phone, not a PlayStation or Xbox, use with care and it will serve you well, use at the max and its down to you.
