I am on Nougat Oxygen OS 4.0.2. I noticed that my Oneplus 3's screen doesnot turn off after screen timeout.I tried to change it, but that didnot help. Thus to turn off the sceen, I have to use the power button everytime. Anyone else facing this issue?Any workaround?

Oneplus team, please fix this issue.

I had this problem before even in 4 .0.1 until .2, i solved it by resetting my phone without erasing my internal storage.

    hopefully it will help you.

Did you perform a factory reset of your phone after the initial Nougat update? I would recommend to do so now if you haven't.

Sounds like your screen is being kept awake. Make sure no apps are blocking the screen from timing out.

the question here is if anyone is facing this issue, it's a bug. how many times should a person go into recovery mode, clear cache to resolve this that too temporarily? if it's a bug, let oneplus team know about this so that the team can work on this & resolve it permanently.

It should be a bug.I searched the net and foumd similar issues with no solution. Does anyone know how to report a bug to Oneplus team directly?

When people suggest that a person...

    1) clear the all programs cache via Settings > Storage and memory > Storage > scroll down to Cache > select cache and select yes. Then immediately reboot your phone immediately after an update.

If that doesn't get rid of issues then do...

    2) a factory reset.

You could always skip right to a factory reset after every update but I have not had to do any factory resets after any of the OnePlus updates. All I have done is the first option immediately after my update completed. I have had zero issues with the OnePlus 3 updates.

In regards to your screen not turning off, did you check all of the display settings?

works fine. I bet you just need to check your settings. Check Stay A option in Developer options or better yet, send me that troublesome phone.

Yes, I did all the things you mentioned. I got this issue after I had factory reset my phone. That's the reason I reported the issue in this forum.
I have been usong nougat for past one month and didn't face any problem until few days back when my screen timeout was not working.
