Screen Lock Infinite Loop on OnePlus 7 Pro

    I am not able to unlock my OnePlus 7 Pro even after entering the correct PIN. I know its correct and also, if I enter a wrong PIN, the phone is clearly saying that it's a wrong PIN.

    After I enter the correct PIN, the phone flashes and is again getting locked. If I try to open settings by clicking the icon from Notification Pane, phone asks for a PIN. I enter it correctly, phone unlocks and shows settings page, but immediately gets locked again.

    Ideas tried:
    - Restarted many times. No use.
    - Went to Recovery Mode (Power + Volume Down). Then it asked for a Pattern whereas I use a PIN as my lock. Anyways, I gave the 2 patterns I had ever used on this phone. Surprisingly, none of them are working. No use.
    - Rebooted to safe mode. No use.
    Now the only way left for me is to clear everything by clicking "Forgot Password" in recovery mode.

    Background:
    Yesterday, my friend tried to change the wallpaper and did it a a couple of times. After few changes, the wallpaper panel didn't show any wallpapers at all and we were not able to change the wallpaper. We thought a restart should fix that issue.

    Today I have restarted my phone and now, the phone has gone into a screen lock loop forever. I don't want to go to a service center and make them delete all my data. Is there any other way for me to unlock my phone without losing any data?

    Am also facing the same issue exactly for last 2 days. Have also tried all reset except for the forgot password whuch will then erase all my data. Is there anyway to resolve this? If you get to know pls tell me as well. Thanks.

    I'm facing the issue too... Happened this morning and haven't found a solution since, hoping to get one soon though.
    @OnePlus please solve this issue ASAP and get back to this thread.

    Same issue here. Issue happened today after restarting my phone. Tried everything possible, restart, soft reset, removed the sim card, connected to the PC...etc. without success. The only left solution is a hard reset but I cannot afford to loose all my data and familiy pictures... I cannot perform any backup neither from the phone (locked in loop) nor from a computer as the USB debugging is not activated in my phone settings... @OnePlus PLEASE HELP AND ANSWER THIS THREAD...

    Thanks spot01. Managed to get in my settings menu using this UI bug technique but I still cannot perform any action that requires the PIN (and that includes system upgrade, USB debugging for backup from PC...etc.). I found someone that spotted the bug in the android code and sent to google support (see here) but no fix from them so far.
    I am now looking for a PC software that could force the USB debugg mode but I haven't found it yet.

    I Have the same problem.
    My phone is getting locked surprisingly without any logic.
    After it occurs, I can't open it by fingerprint nor by face camera - only by PIN code.
    but even after using the PIN - it getting locked again and again.
    what is going on here ?!?!?!!?
    My phone is ONE PLUS 7 PRO - updated to last version.
    I have this issue for a month.
