    Hemant_Dhiman, Jun 20, 2019 :
a day before yesterday i recieved my update and after that no problem occur...but today i m using my OP7 at my room with no any lights on in room so my OP7 brightness is at very low (around 5%-20% by looking the brightness control in drop down) and i start seeing a noise in youtube app at that time i thought its an app update problem from youtube....than i see same thing in other app....than i check in another app screen tester when it showing me gray colour and my device brightness is at b/w 5% to 20% and i see a whitish color noise horizontally (when my device at vertical position) i took the screen shot and see it on other devices like laptop and mobile but only gray color no whitish noise but when i see my device at lock mode and use my ambient display feature no problem occur!!

so whats the problem is it a new os update problem or something else because my device is totally new buy from amazon at first sale!

i'm also going to attack that grey colour pic can anyone see that image on their OP7 device having os9.5.5 at brightness level b/w 5% to 20%!!

and also at landscape mode when i try to pull down the drop down window and rest background get low in brightness than also o can see that whitish colour noise!!

i also try to upload a video recorded by another device of my OP7 screen problem!!

    Hi there,

This is neither a hardware problem nor an update issue. In extreme low brightness, this effect may occur. This is not specific to the OnePlus 7 and may happen with other AMOLED devices. Your device is fine.

I've seen a similar effect on the OnePlus 5T, that's why I'm saying that this is not specific to your device or this update. Still, you can check your DC dimming settings and change them to see if there's an improvement.

It's a setting that changes the way that brightness is handled on your device.

it's something like this..but only in gray color or shade like b/w white and grey

but only in brightness low time
and my friends are saying that its like AMOLED displays having this issue sometimes??

no problem when i see black
when seeing white in low brightness noise is there
when seeing gray in low brightness whitish noise is there!!

It should show up under Settings - Utilities - OnePlus Laboratory.

Do you have this setting there? Is it on or off?

I don't know exactly what you want me to reply. You don't see this in black, because in AMOLED displays, pixels are turned off when the color is set to black. Again, this happens only under extreme low brightness and it's due to the way AMOLED displays work.
