The screen cover that comes with the phone. Is it packaging that should be peeled off or is it a screen protector which is meant to stay on /semi permanent?

It is a pre-applied screen protector that is meant to stay on. You could replace it if you want.

I would recommend, replacing it with a glass as it's just a mere scratch guard and won't protect your screen against any drops.

I agree. I just installed the glass screen protector yesterday, and it's much nicer than the pre-installed one in my opinion. Only annoying thing is that it cuts off the very edges of the screen, but it's not enough to block anything important. I'm pretty much used to it now.

OnePlus started putting screen protectors on the phone I think starting with the OP2....or OP3. Not sure, but it was announced a while back that they'll do the extra step of protecting your screen.

3d Tempered glass! its much nicer than orzlys if compared to their 3t version. And you get an extra layer of protection if fall occurs.

I always take them off and have a bare screen. Feels great and the gorilla glass is named that for a reason. I'm careful with my tech though.

I left mine on my 3 and it stayed on fine until it went for repair. I will leave this on my 5, the last didn't ever peel so doubt this will

Why would you want a scratch resistant screens in your phones if you're going to spoil them with crappy screen shields all the same? No screen shield is as resistant to scratches as the phones gorilla glass 5. Sure it's a different matter if you put a glass shield as it protects the original screen from impacts also..

Right on! The screen feels amazing.

Btw, I asked tech support, and the cost of a screen replacement should average US$60 or so.

Anyone tried out the liquid screen protectors on the market? Not so much for protection against cracking but scratch resistance? Wondering if its worth trying.
