    you forgot the rule.
as soon as you buy any OnePlus device, make sure u buy accessories which you need specific to your phone.
bcos they will go out of stock very soon.

    You forgot the other rule:

With the exception of dash charge cables, every single official accessory is beat out by a cheaper third party model

Maybe for the tempered glass ones, but I hate those on phones with curved screens because they either contain bezels that cover part of the screen or they don't cover the whole screen.

You're much better off getting a liquid screen protector like the IQ Shield protectors.

BlackBerry was pretty much the same. When a company is dealing with such a small percentage of the mobile market (OnePlus = 2%), they cannot afford to get stuck with a lot of dead inventory or (either they or someone they contract) have to go back into production for multiple devices, so they allow 3rd party manufacturers and large stocking vendors, like Amazon, to take on the risk.

Although it seems counterintuitive, it's actually good business as it keeps the price of the devices down for you and I.

so let's see I bought the "official" screen protector from one plus followed all instructions to the letter I even watched a few videos on YouTube and guess what I got for my $28 ,
a protector that is lined up perfect but doesn't adhear on the bottom right side or the top, so solution buy a $10 case from Amazon that is full protection and keeps my phone pretty.

    imagine that ....

I had purchased OnePlus 7, it came with attached screen protector. How good it is? Do I need to buy a glass protector that one is available on official website?

It's not gonna be the greatest screen protector, it's gonna be decent enough to where you don't immediately need one.

If you want a OnePlus branded one, you might want to buy now if you can as they will eventually stop carrying them soon.

The one that comes pre applied is a scratch resistant cover and not actually a tempered glass quality which can protect against fall.

I would personally recommend getting a official tempered glass for your device.
