Display Screen Reloading/Resizing issue with Android 11

    KalDog , Apr 8, 2021 :
I haven't been having any issues since upgrading to Android 11 - even with doing a fresh clean install - except one annoying issue that prevents a lot of apps from working. Video of it happening here. With certain apps(and a LOT of them, too), the system will resize the screen if I don't do anything on the page for 4 or 5 seconds. Another fresh clean install didn't help either. I changed the display settings to disable the automatic resolution switch, and it happens when I don't have QHD enabled either, nor do I have any of the screen calibrations set. I've also tried setting it to 60hz mode, and a combination of all of the above settings to no avail. I've tried practically all available display settings here. Sometimes, when I lock the screen, it will resize the entire lock screen page and stay that way. It cuts off some numbers on the lock screen and I have to reboot my entire phone to actually use it again. This issue prevents me from using a lot of apps, as when it resizes it will basically kick me out of the app entirely and I have to enter login details again(for my banking and work app). Is there any fix for this, and is it a known bug? Like I said, I've done a couple of clean installs, including one from the recovery mode and another one from a local install using the updater(both clean installations). This is very annoying and I'm about to go back to android 10 if this issue persists!

EDIT: Here it is freaking out on this thread like 3 times in 7 seconds.

The only thing to do is roll back. That specific model doesn't play well with A11 as of right now.

Yep, known issue I assume? Any fixes or should I rollback?

Very weird. Thanks for the information, for some reason I couldn't find anything about it but I didn't remember the gm1915 was a different model entirely. Appreciate it

That's because there isn't a solution. It's the phone not cooperating.
