Screen time out not working via OnePlus 7 Pro

    Does it happen in a particular app, or while playing a specific type of content? Video players and ads playing in the foreground prevent the phone from sleeping. Also, do check your screen timeout settings to see that they don't change on their own.
    Also check if the issue can be replicated by booting into safe mode.

    Can you download a cache clearing app? Like CCleaner, run that, its gonna force stop a lot of apps and clear caches of all the processes (its gonna ask for a few permissions, allow it). Its gonna take around 10 minutes. Restart your phone post that. See if that helped.

    Also, you can choose to uninstall the CCleaner once the issue is sorted.

    I'm having the same issue with my 9pro
    update: so apparently I just had to close my apps running in the background it's kind of weird to me never had this issue with any of my Samsung phones. really considering switching back . I may have made a mistake purchasing this device
