As the article mentions it adds lost data over time, so will it recognise if it is another finger??

the fingerprint scanner seems to learn your fingerprint for a short period of time(its super volatile) and after certain time it will again take time as usual.
this software learning thing does not make much of difference.

    Hello everyone.

I am glad to be finally part of the OnePlus community after years of struggles with awful smart phones [e]1f602[/e]

I have received my OnePlus 6T yesterday, after a painful 2 day wait (only a joke) and I couldn't help but be amazed at the speed at which I managed to transfer all my data from the sluggish, bugs ridden, battery hungry, faulty logic board (Samsung tech support words, by the way) 4 weeks old Galaxy S9.

After reading several tech articles about how "imperfect" the OnePlus 6T fingerprint was, I was somehow expecting it to be like I had read but instead the fingerprint setup was a breeze and it functions very well and in a speedy manner to the point that I wanted to get in touch with the guys who had written the articles and shut them up about it.

This phone is a what I would call a "back to the future" jump.
Well done guys at OnePlus for producing such a futuristic, speedy and reliable smart phone/computer.

    Keep up the good work.

Welcome to the OnePlus family - it's great to hear that you love the OnePlus 6T as much as we do (^_^) And sometimes you just need to try things out for yourself to make up your own mind - although binge watching review videos IS a lot of fun...

It is great but still it is a 2D optic sensorand that's why it is slow and fails to work sometimes.
But the 3D Sonic sensor from Qualcomm is the real future.
It works fine with wet fingers and everything and it is actually a secure sensor unlike 2D sensor used in OnePlus 6T.
So, do you have any plans to use that Qualcomm 3D Sonic sensor in your next OnePlus device?
